Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, which stays in your browser until you clear it, and sessionStorage, which is cleared when you close the tab or browser.

PIVOT410 mostly uses localStorage and sessionStorage rather than cookies. We use only first-party storage for our own purposes, and Google Analytics cookies are set only if you choose "Accept all". We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites for advertising.

We group the items we use into three categories:

• Essential - needed for the website to work, for example to remember your choice in the banner and to keep you signed in.
• Preference - remember choices such as your language.
• Analytics - help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

The PIVOT410 mobile apps may use similar storage on your device to keep you signed in and remember your language.

First-party analytics. When you view pages or use features such as sign-up or applications, we record the event with the random visitor ID (p410_vid) and session ID (p410_sid), together with the page, language, device type, browser, operating system, an approximate country derived from your time-zone setting, the referring website and campaign parameters. This data is stored in our own database in the Republic of Korea. The IDs are random - they are not derived from your name, email or device - and we do not use them to identify you. We do not store IP addresses in these records, and we do not share them with advertisers.

Google Analytics 4 (optional). Only if you choose "Accept all" do we load Google Analytics, which sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies. We enable IP anonymisation. Google processes this data on our behalf and may process it in the United States and other countries. You can learn more in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and can also use Google's opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

• On your first visit, a banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Essential only". Your choice is saved in p410_consent.
• To change your choice, clear the site data for www.pivot410.net in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit, and you can choose again.
• If you switch from "Accept all" to "Essential only", Google Analytics is no longer loaded. You can remove any existing _ga cookies in your browser settings.
• Choosing "Essential only" does not limit your access to any feature of PIVOT410.
• Please note that clearing site data also signs you out and resets your language preference.

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and other site data, usually under the "Privacy" or "Security" settings. You can also use a private or incognito window, in which storage is deleted when you close the window.

If you block all storage for our website, some essential functions - such as staying signed in or remembering your language - will not work.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behaviour based on this signal. However, we do not track you across other websites, and Google Analytics is used only if you choose "Accept all".

If we add new storage items or change how we use them, we will update this policy and the table above and change the effective date. If we introduce a new category of non-essential storage, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
