Guardian Consent: A Guide for Applicants Under 18 and Their Parents

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian needs to be part of your audition journey. Here is why, how consent works on PIVOT410, and how to stay safe.

Why guardian consent is required

Many aspiring idols start young, and that is completely normal. But an audition can lead to real commitments: training schedules, travel, contracts and time away from school. In most countries, people under 18 cannot make those decisions alone, and they should not have to.

That is why every applicant under 18 needs the consent of a parent or legal guardian on PIVOT410. It protects you, it gives agencies a clear and responsible point of contact, and it means the adults who care about you know exactly what you are applying for.

What the guardian confirms

By giving consent, the guardian confirms that:

  • They are the applicant's parent or legal guardian.
  • They have read the Terms and Privacy Policy, and agree that the applicant uses PIVOT410 and applies to auditions.
  • They understand that the profile, photos and performance videos can be viewed by casting staff at entertainment agencies on PIVOT410.
  • They agree to be contacted by agencies about the applicant.

How it works on PIVOT410

  1. Create your profile. Sign up and enter your date of birth accurately.
  2. Add your guardian's details. If you are under 18, your profile asks for your guardian's name and email address. Use an email your guardian actually checks.
  3. Tick the consent box together. Read the consent statement with your guardian and tick the checkbox only when they have agreed.
  4. Apply with confidence. Once your guardian's details and consent are in place, you can apply to auditions.
  5. Agencies contact your guardian. For applicants under 18, agencies must contact the guardian. Any next step - a call, an online audition or a meeting - should be arranged with your guardian involved.

You can update your guardian's details at any time in My profile.

Safety first: tips for applicants and parents

Most people in the industry work professionally, but scams targeting young aspirants do exist. Keep these rules in mind:

  • Never pay fees to anyone claiming to be an agency. Requests for "registration fees", "audition fees" or deposits to secure a contract are a serious warning sign. PIVOT410 does not charge a referral fee for applying to auditions.
  • Meet only in official venues, with your guardian. An agency office or an official audition venue - never a private home, hotel room or car, and never alone.
  • Protect personal information. Do not send passwords, ID documents, bank details or private photos through direct messages.
  • Take your time. Real opportunities do not disappear because you asked a question or wanted to check with a parent.
  • Report anything suspicious. If someone contacts you in a way that feels wrong, stop replying and email info@poten410.com with the details.

FAQ for parents

Does it cost anything to apply?

PIVOT410 charges no broker or referral fee for applying to auditions. If anyone asks you or your child for money in the name of an audition, please contact us before doing anything.

Who can see my child's profile?

Only casting staff at agencies. When your child applies to an audition, that agency can see the profile. If Spotlight is turned on, verified casting staff at PIVOT410 partner agencies can also find it in talent search. The profile is never shown to the public or to other members. For details on how data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

Does my child need to travel for the first screening?

No. The first screening is based on the profile, photos and 30-60 second videos submitted online. Any later steps depend on the agency and should always be discussed with you.

What happens if an agency is interested?

For applicants under 18, the agency must contact you as the guardian. You can ask questions, request details in writing and take the time you need before deciding on any next step.

Can we withdraw consent or remove the profile?

Yes. You can update the profile at any time, and permanently delete the profile, photos, videos and applications in Settings. To withdraw consent or have the login account itself removed, contact info@poten410.com.
